The station offers measurement accuracy perfectly suited for applications in building automation, agriculture, and smart cities. With its comprehensive communication options (RS-485, Modbus, WLAN, LoRaWan, MQTT), the WSC Advanced can be easily integrated into modern IoT networks. For data acquisition and device control, a wired serial RS485 interface (ASCII, Modbus RTU) as well as WLAN and optional LoRaWAN are available. The WLAN interface allows direct transmission of measured values to an MQTT server such as the Thies Cloud (pre-configured). In conjunction with the Thies Cloud, hourly forecast values for various weather parameters are available at the MODBUS and ASCII levels, enabling the implementation of intelligent control models that take future weather developments into account. A thermal wind sensor enables measurement without moving parts, resulting in low maintenance and a long service life. The Thies THERMACERN®-The ceramic sensor detects the precipitation status as well as the weather conditions (frost, ice, snow).
