The minimum temperature thermometer is used to determine the lowest air temperature within a reference period. The filling fluid of the minimum temperature thermometer is denatured alcohol. The measuring principle is that the trailing mark in the capillary is carried along by the alcohol thread and "remains" at the lowest temperature.
The main features of the minimum thermometer are:
- glass thermometer
- filled with denatured alcohol
- prismatic backed scale
- Measuring range -40...+40°C, division: 0.5K
- Ø 17 mm
- plastic cap
