The evaporimeter is used to determine evaporation. Evaporation is measured by measuring the change in weight of water in a measuring vessel with a known area (250 cm2). A strain gauge is used as the measurement method. The measuring system is equipped with a microprocessor and housed in a plastic housing.
The measurement results show the weight loss of water converted to units per cm2 from the moment the tare was measured. Power loss does not affect the measurement result, as the initial settings (including the tare setting) are stored in non-volatile memory. The water temperature is measured using a Pt100 sensor. The test results are shown on the display. Regardless of the display mode, the device continuously transmits measurement results to the serial port.
The evaporation scale is available in different versions:
EVC-1010 - Evaporimeter for determining evaporation and temperature according to Dr. Klausing, area 250cm2, MODBUS interface, power supply 7 ... 30V.
Data is shared via a serial connection cable. The instantaneous values are displayed on an LCD.
EVC-1010R - Evaporimeter with data logger for measuring evaporation and temperature according to Dr. Klausing, area: 250cm2, with integrated power supply, software.
The data logger version allows for autonomous operation of the recording and evaporation temperature as a function of time. Data sharing is achieved via a serial connection cable. The instantaneous values are displayed on an LCD.
The measurement data can be read from the memory via software download. For this purpose, the included software must be installed on a Windows computer. This software allows you to configure the recording parameters and download the collected data. This software also allows for display and analysis in tabular and graphical form. Export to other data analysis programs is also possible.
