The V200A combined ultrasonic sensor is used for precise and maintenance-free measurement of wind speed and direction, as well as for calculating the acoustic virtual temperature. Unlike conventional anemometers, the ultrasonic measuring principle works without wear-prone mechanical parts. The serial or analog data output is available as instantaneous values, average values (arithmetic or vector), or minimum/maximum values with a variable sampling rate. The device is automatically heated if necessary at critical ambient temperatures. The device is particularly suitable for meteorology or building automation. The following outputs/protocols are available: NMEA, ASCII, UMB, and 4-20 mA analog.
