Atmospheric precipitation is collected in containers using a Bergerhoff dust measuring device. The collected sample is then evaporated, and the evaporation residue is determined gravimetrically. The sampling device consists of:
1 collecting vessel and
1 stand with protective basket.
1 wide-neck bottle with accessories
The collection container is a standard-production, wide-mouth, round HDPE container (DIN 120) with a capacity of 1.5 l. The container sits in a standard-production wire basket, which acts as a bird deterrent thanks to a funnel-shaped extension at the top.
The basket of the measuring device has a Rilasan coating to prevent heavy metal contamination resulting from the material of the basket.
Material:
The standard device is made of hot-dip galvanized or rilasan-coated steel. The stainless steel version of the Bergerhoff dust measuring device is made entirely of alloy 14571.
The main features of the Bergerhoff dust measuring device are:
Low maintenance
Determination of the dust content of precipitation (moisture disposition)
good value for money
quantitative collection
Rilasan coating to prevent heavy metal contamination
Stainless steel version is resistant to aggressive environmental influences, such as salts
