The shelter houses the EVC-1010* evaporometer. The cage consists of a ventilated hipped roof made of overlapping spruce boards, which allows for optimal ventilation and a free, continuous flow of liquid precipitation. The shelter frame is covered with a steel mesh mesh to ensure free air movement.
The shelter is weatherproof. The roof can be folded up for maintenance purposes. It is entirely handmade.
The shelter is used as standard at IMGW and CMHI.
