Sling psychrometer

The centrifuge psychrometer is used to reliably determine relative humidity.

It consists of:

• a 260 mm long, 18 mm wide, U-shaped aluminum sheet with ventilation slots, sprayed in aluminum color,
• a double thermometer holder with rubber mounting and knurled screw fastening,
• two radiation protection tubes with partition for thermometer vessels,
• a PVC handle mounted on the U-rail and
• one dry and one wet spin thermometer with a scale division of 0.5 °C.

The air ventilation required for the psychrometric measurement is achieved by a circular spinning motion. This achieves a ventilation speed of approximately v = 5 m/s at the thermometers.
The temperature values ​​of the dry and wet bulb thermometers are used to determine the relative humidity using a graphic evaluation table.
