EKO's next-generation sensors have broken the rules of traditional pyranometer architecture. Inspired by the combination of the latest technologies and state-of-the-art thermopile sensors, the innovative, patented design enables a breakthrough in unprecedented zero offset behavior and fast sensor response.
The compact, single-dome sensor, based on an isolated thermopile detector and quartz diffuser, is immune to offsets and integrates all optional value-added features such as a fan, heater, and various industrial interfaces. The heater and fan are recommended, especially in regions affected by dew, frost, snow, and dust.
The MS-80A is an MS-80 with a built-in 4-20 mA converter and the MS-80M with a built-in MODBUS converter. They are compatible with industrial output standards. Due to their extremely low temperature dependence and exceptional nonlinearity characteristics, the converter guarantees optimal sensor performance under all environmental conditions.
The MS-80 pyranometers are manufactured with rigorous quality control and performance evaluation. For each sensor, the directional and temperature dependence are measured and validated through a calibration report supplied with the sensor. EKO offers a unique calibration that complies with the international standards of ISO/IEC 17025/9847.
