The MDO Server is a freely scalable database software that makes weather data available to an unlimited number of users on the Internet/intranet via browser technology. The MDO Server is directly connected to the Unilog COM data logger.
What is MDO?
The functionality of Meteo Data Online can be divided into three main groups:
-
the coordinated query of a wide range of sensors
These are primarily devices that are connected to the PC via a serial interface, but querying other data sources is also possible.
MDO supports the ability to operate almost any number of devices with different interface configurations on just one COM port.
|
- Standardization and logging of collected data
Collected data can be summarized and stored permanently in a variety of ways:
- arithmetic mean
- Sum (e.g. for precipitation sensors)
- vectorial mean (for wind sensors)
- Wind path - Maximum values
- Minimum values
- Standard deviation ...
The PC clock can be used to orient the logging process in terms of time, but also a device defined as a measuring sensor, e.g. a GPS receiver.
|
- Export of managed data to any system
MDO supports versatile and time-controlled export of its data into any format.
The main applications are:
- HTML files for use on the Internet or Intranet, including the generation various diagrams
- CSV files for further use in Excel, Access or other databases
- Control commands to connected devices, e.g. to prevent a range being exceeded to be forwarded to a switching relay (alarm function).
- sending emails to an SMTP interface (in preparation)
