The weather station serves to protect meteorological measuring instruments against radiation and precipitation according to DIN 58 656; it features a lockable double door and a frame. The wood is primed inside and out, painted white, and varnished. The frame can be disassembled into two parts. It was built according to the regulations of the German Meteorological Service (DWD) and the Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (IMGW).
