The weather hut is designed to protect meteorological measuring instruments from radiation and precipitation in accordance with DIN 58 656; it features a lockable double-leaf door and a frame. It is made of wood, primed inside and out, painted white, and varnished. The frame can be disassembled into two parts. It is constructed according to the regulations of the German Meteorological Service (IMGW).
