The snow scale is a precision instrument for measuring the snow water equivalent. Designed for quick and easy installation and implementation in the field, it impresses with its robustness and maintenance-free design.
The SSG uses durable aluminum plates to measure SWE, enabling precise measurements. An outer frame consisting of these plates reduces the ice lens effect, which is particularly noticeable at the end of the winter season. The use of lightweight, perforated aluminum plates minimizes thermal resistance and promotes optimal heat flow characteristics between the soil and the sensor. Integration and connection to existing weather stations and other systems is deliberately kept simple.
