The Aspen 10 is a versatile, compact entry-level device with a simple plug-and-play interface. The supported sensors measure hydrological, meteorological, environmental, and industrial phenomena. The Aspen 10 is similar to a complete Campbell Scientific system and includes a data logger, terminal blocks, a housing, a solar panel, a charge controller, a battery, a modem and an antenna – all in a small housing.
Compatible sensors are connected via an eight-pin connector. MThe Aspen 10 is wired with a 12-pin connector. A detection pin identifies that the Aspen 10 is connected to a sensor with SDI-12 self-identification. Once the sensor is identified, the Aspen 10 connects to CampbellCloud to retrieve the appropriate configuration and program for that sensor, allowing the edge device to power the sensor and perform accurate analog or digital measurements.
A free app, CampbellGo, enables secure NFC/Bluetooth pairing between a smartphone and the Aspen 10. This significantly simplifies the installation process, as you can access real-time sensor readings, diagnostic tools, and information about data transmission to the cloud on-site. This ensures that everything is working perfectly before you leave the installation site.
