Collection: PV weather stations

PV power

PV power measurements under real-world outdoor conditions are performed in a variety of ways. However, the concept behind all performance studies is to relate the input energy, i.e., the solar radiant flux, to the output energy, i.e., the electrical power generated by the PV module. Solar monitoring stations, known as SMS, are the appropriate device for this type of evaluation.

parameter

The Solar Monitoring Station (SMS) is the primary reference for collecting high-quality on-site solar irradiance data. This innovative, turnkey system provides all basic solar irradiance and meteorological parameters for PV site evaluation, performance monitoring, and cell optimization.

  • The global, diffuse in the plane of the array
  • The spectral properties of the radiant flux
  • The direct irradiance
  • Temperature, humidity, wind and precipitation
  • Data logger or electronic interface

PVmet stations

New to the range are the unique PVmet weather stations, a modular platform for configuring the most comprehensive weather station. Multiple high-end pyranometers and sensors can be combined as a turnkey solution for PV monitoring applications. Standard measurement parameters (array irradiance level, horizontal irradiance, PV backplane temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, ambient temperature, wind speed and direction, rain gauge) are measured. PVmet is an innovative sensor platform for PV monitoring.

This cost-effective station is compact and easy to install and connects to any inverter. Like all PVmet stations, it features an RS-485 Modbus interface.
