An electric aspirator ventilates both thermometer vessels at the required minimum air velocity of >3 m/s. Constant ventilation of the thermometers enables precise determination of the temperature difference (psychrometric difference) between a dry and a wet bulb thermometer. Common humidity parameters can be derived mathematically from the psychrometric difference. Precision resistance thermometers are used to determine the temperature. The measurement time is approximately 8 minutes at a ventilation velocity of 3 m/s to 5 m/s.
