Rainfall data logger is a data logger specifically designed for recording and storing precipitation events
It operates on a long-lasting lithium battery. This battery, along with its large memory, provides a large storage capacity without user intervention. The included lithium battery can also be replaced with three alkaline batteries when it is exhausted.
The backlit display shows the amount of rain during the different time intervals in real time.
The data logger is waterproof thanks to the use of reed relays.
The reed relays are operated by a magnet.
The software supplied with the precipitation data logger allows you to set the instrument parameters:
- the real-time display of the recorded values by the data logger,
- downloading to a PC and processing the stored data.
The connection to the PC is established via the RS232C serial connector located on the bottom of the instrument. An RS232/USB converter is available.
The precipitation data logger can be connected to all rain gauges with reed contact that have a normally closed (NC) or normally closed (NO) output contact.
The automatic display shutdown extends battery life. An LED on the housing allows you to check the device's operating status when the display is off.
The LED changes color when the reed switch switches.
