Die Schrägrohr-Manometer werden besonders zur Messung kleiner und kleinster Drücke, Unterdrücke und Differenzdrücke zwischen 0...0,25 mbar und 0...30 mbar verwendet. Gegenüber U-Rohren ist die Anzeige erheblich vergrößert und braucht nur an einem Schenkel abgelesen zu werden. Die größere Ablesegenauigkeit hat der Typ D580G (Plattenbreite 400mm), weil dessen Skalenteilung fast doppelt so lang wie beim Typ D 580K (Plattenbreite 250mm) ist.
