The Sunshine / Sunshine duration sensor detects global, diffuse and direct radiation, cloud cover, Shadowstrike of wind turbines.
The sensor DK-SOL1 is able to detect the shadows of his environment, which forms the basis of solar radiation. The structure consists of two brightness sensors DK-FM1, which are spaced at a distance of 90 mm. This system is oriented to the south, the front sensor of the sunlight is directly exposed, whereas the rear sensor is protected by a sunscreen out of direct sunlight. This sensor is used only for detecting the incident scattered light. From the ratio of the two output signals can then be deduced whether the sun is shining and it comes to shadowing or not. The sunscreen Template was calculated for latitudes that lie between 48.15 ° (Munich) and 54.3 ° (Kiel).
Assembly
The location where the sensor is mounted must be in every season shadows all day. Surrounding objects (for example, trees, poles, etc.) may cast a shadow on the sensors. Also, make sure that no reflections from the surroundings (windows, metal surfaces, walls) falling on the sensor. The sensor is mounted on an adjustment plate. After attaching the sensor to the mast it is aligned exactly to the south. Strahlungsmeßgeräte as the DK-SOL1 should be checked monthly to its horizontal orientation (water level) once.
