The precipitation sensor rain [e] H3 measures rainfall and intensity. The rain [e] H3 combines the advantages of the latest weighing technology with a self-emptied precision receptacle. This he achieved a high resolution and accuracy in a much smaller total volume. Thus, the rain [e] H3 higher resolution and precision than conventional precipitation gauges with tipping bucket measuring principle and is also significantly smaller than usual vast sensors because no collector is required.
The main sensor is a high-precision load cell with overload protection. Its temperature coefficient is determined, if necessary by using a temperature sensor inside the enclosure. For applications in regions with seasonal or permanent low temperatures the rain [e] H3 is available as heated version.
