Rain gauge according to Hellmann, 200 cm² surface area, zinc sheet

The rain gauge according to Hellmann used to determine the daily total precipitation sum during the frost-free period.

,The rain gauge is composed of:

• 1 top (receiving vessel) made from zinc sheet
• 1 lower part made from zinc sheet,
• 1 collecting jar made of plastic,
• 1 Measuring cylinders, clear (according to DIN 58667) and
• 1 holder.

The rain and snow gauge Hellmann consists of 2 raingauges same type (DIN 58 666), so that the devices can be interchanged. If the measurement date in the collection vessel is solid precipitate, the  system  is completely replaced, the solid precipitate transferred by gently thawing in a heated room in the liquid phase and as the liquid precipitation to the measuring glass measured.
