Sensor for humidity

Mela® humidity sensors are to be installed at a representative for the climate measurement point in the room, the installation or machine. The proximity to radiators, windows or exterior walls should be avoided. The specified minimum air speeds and the operating voltage matched load when I output should be respected. Deviations can cause additional measuring errors due to self heating. The installation position of the sensor is required. However, it should be mounted so that the penetration of water is avoided. Dew formation and splashes do not damage the sensor, but lead until the complete drying of the filter to incorrect measurements. To maintain the immunity according to EN 61326-2-3 during use, we recommend to connect the sensors to use a shielded cable and professionally to mount within the cable connector of the sensor. The protective filter should be unscrewed gently only for a functional check with the humidity standard. It is important to ensure that the highly sensitive sensor element is not affected. Dirty filters can be washed as necessary on the unscrewed state. When screwed on again, it should be noted that the sensor only after complete drying is measured correctly again. Certain sensors can be completely cleaned with distilled water. As assembly aids we recommend the wall bracket or the mounting plate. To check functioning the Mela® Normal is suitable.
